Creating a space where women in extractives is not only of importance to women in the sector but a recognized crucial element for
sustainable and inclusive extractive practice development. The forum brought together various key female! players in the extractive
industry in Kenya, led by the Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Mining. Among the recommendations, was that business in this industry adopt sustainable inclusive business practices. As a result, SIB-Kenya is still in conversation with the partners, including base titanium on how to introduce impact measurement and improvement steps in these companies.
