Reasons for no single use plastic:

  • Exhausts raw materials resources
  • Huge carbon footprint
  • Takes hundreds of years to decompose
  • It is made from fossil fuels
  • Few are recyclable -> recycle when you can!
  • Release/Leaches toxic chemicals into our environment/water/food (causes hormone disruptions and cancers)
  • Pollutes our land and sea
  • Kills marine animal and birds

Challenge 1 : Say No To Single Use Plastic

  • Refuse, Replace single Use PET bottles completely
  • No straws (have alternatives)

Alternatives are:

  • Bottling water on the spot and provide glass bottles branded & glasses
  • Having water dispensers and providing refillable water bottles or glass bottles and glasses.
  • For sparkling water – having a soda machine
  • Soda’s: have them in glass bottles
